I wasn't a fan back then either, their history fascinated me too. Its mostly stuff I gathered from watching all the the members Shounen Club Premium episodes, translations of interviews, photos and old video clips. Ryo mentioned that Yoko/hina/subaru were always together, and felt sense of rivalry with the Tokyo Juniors that he didnt feel because he often worked apart from them alone with other juniors. Yeah Ryo is quite a bit younger and looked TINY back then, I thought their dynamics were really cute, maybe more like the ossan looking out for Ryo more like a little brother than close friends like now. I'm thinking about the Gakibara video of the Tokyo vs Kansai Junior triathlon. Tackey, Tsubasa, Yamapi, Ikuta Toma and Jimmy Mackey VS Yoko, Hina, Subaru and Ryo. Its a really cute and interesting clip you should watch if you havent yet ^^. hehe theres an tiny instant where Subaru saves Ryo from Tackeys headlock.
I'm not sure of the exact time line, but I think during that time, Maru, Yasu and Uchi were in V west together (with a few other juniors)(later Ohkura). yoko/subaru and ryo/hina guested on their show Weekly V West to promote "Another" stageplay, Which was around when Kanjani8 (less ohkura) started working together and getting close (2002).
You're welcome ^^ I really enjoyed reading your writing and discussing Eito history too. :) its hard to not smile along with their shiny laughter and dorkiness!
